Place (장소)

Today, I will write about place in Korean. This is I get from my Korean Class today. Ooohhh… nooo, tomorrow, we will have oral test in our class. So, today, I should study hard to remember many of vocabularies that have been taugh by songsengnim (선생님).

Let's begin!!

Place in Korean is 장소 ( jangso ).

어디에있어요? ( Odi-e-issoyo? )  means "Where is - ?

The interrogative pronounce '어디" ( odi ) means where in English. When asking where something or someone is '에' (-e ) is attached to "어디" ( odi ) and the verb '얐어요' ( issoyo ) is used. Don't forget to put question mark in the end. In Korean, it is very important. If it were forgotten, the sentence will be not correct.

Example ;

  1. A : 서울이어디에있어요? ( Soul-i-odi-e-issoyo? )
    ( Where is Seoul? )
    B : (서울이) 한국에있어요. ( Soul-i-han-guge-issoyo )
    ( Soul is in Korea )

  2. A : 파리가어디에있어요? ( Parika-odi-e-issoyo? )
    ( Where is Paris? )
    B : (파리가)프란스있어요. ( Parika peranse-issoyo. )
    ( Paris is in France. )
